Saygun Erkaraman

Saygun Erkaraman is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in user experience and product design. Currently serving as the Head of Design at WordPress.com under Automattic since February 2021, Saygun has also held roles as Design Team Lead and Senior Product Designer. In addition, Saygun has contributed as a mentor at Designlab and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania, teaching courses on designing for mobile and web media. Prior to Automattic, Saygun founded Saygun Inc., providing consultancy for notable brands and startups, and co-founded bigbigworld.io as Chief Product Officer. Previous roles include Director of User Experience at Crafted | NY, Digital Creative Director at Rafineri, and various creative positions at Trafo, Republica Adv., and Plink!. Saygun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication Design from Istanbul Bilgi University.
