Sophie Butler

Sophie Butler is an experienced engineering professional specializing in mechanical design, automation, and project management. Currently serving as an R&D and Automation Engineer at DesignPro Automation since December 2019, Sophie previously held positions at MACFAB as a Mechanical Design Engineer/Production Engineer, where a key achievement included redesigning the LH300 baler to enhance manufacturing efficiency. At SchuF Valve Technology GmbH, Sophie was responsible for the design and project management of process valves for various international customers, ensuring compliance with multiple industry standards. Earlier experiences include working on small and large-scale projects at Sud Ouest SYSTEME, as well as contributing as a student researcher at Stokes Institute during a Masters program focused on energy harvesting technologies. Sophie holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from Icam and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Institut Universitaire Technologique.
