Carol Derby

Carol Derby, the Vice President of Research and Development at Designtex, has played a key role in enhancing connections within the company to improve customer experience and internal processes through applied research. As the Director of Environmental Strategy, Carol has focused on developing environmentally designed products and promoting corporate social responsibility. Additionally, Carol has experience as a Faculty Member at the New York School of Interior Design and as a Joint Committee member on Sustainable Textiles. Carol also served as a board member and President of the Association for Contract Textiles, leading the introduction of an ANSI standard for sustainable textiles. Carol holds a BA in English and Studio Art from Williams College.
