David Johnson

David Johnson is a Senior Associate at DeSimone’s Plainville office. He has 38 years of combined structural engineering management and design project management experience in a broad range of manufacturing, commercial, industrial, retail, institutional, and residential structures, for both new construction and structural renovations. He specializes in structural steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures.

His strengths include developing cost-effective structural designs, identifying, and developing practical solutions to structural problems, and coordinating structural designs with other disciplines. Other experience includes management of engineering and project management staff, client relationships, and business development.

His project experience includes FABCON, a 123,300 sf precast panel fabrication plant; Amazon, the renovation of an existing glass bottle manufacturing and warehouse facility into distribution center; FedEx, the renovation of existing manufacturing/warehouse into distribution center (2 locations); and Digital Realty, data centers with associated mechanical and office support areas.

Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
