Ali Pahlavani

Ali Pahlavani, MBA, CFP, CLU, CHS, is a seasoned Certified Financial Planner currently associated with Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network and Desjardins Financial Security Investments Inc. since October 2022. With extensive expertise in areas such as insurance, investments, retirement planning, and estate planning, Ali also serves as a Professor of Finance at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. A former President of Advocis Ottawa, Ali has contributed significantly to the financial advisory profession, focusing on providing comprehensive financial services. Additionally, Ali has held roles at Co-operators Financial Investment Services and Moody’s Analytics, and has been actively involved with GAMA International as Treasurer. Educational credentials include an MBA from Carleton University, a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Tehran, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic.
