Dr. Justin Szewczyk

Dr. Justin Szewczyk has a wealth of experience in business and academia. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Tutor at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München. Dr. Justin then completed an Internship Student role at Bosch from 2012 to 2013, followed by an Intern and Working Student role at KPMG from 2013 to 2015. Dr. Justin then moved to Deutsche Bank, where they were a Trainee from 2015 to 2016. After this, they joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Consultant and Associate from 2016 to 2021. Most recently, they have been the Head of Operations, Finance & HR at deskbird since 2022. During their time at Universität Passau, they published a paper of their dissertation titled "The family innovator’s dilemma revisited: Examining the association between family influence and incumbents’ adoption of discontinuous technologies". Dr. Justin also published a paper titled "Börsennotierte Familienunternehmen in Deutschland: Bedeutung, Merkmale, Performance" during their time at Technische Universität München.

Dr. Justin Szewczyk has a diverse educational background. Dr. Justin obtained an A-Levels (Abitur) from Deutsche Schule Tokyo Yokohama in 2010. Dr. Justin then attended Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and Development in 2014. In 2016, they earned a Master of Science in Finance from Grenoble Ecole de Management. Dr. Justin also spent a semester at Aarhus University in 2012. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor (Ph.D.) in Economics at Universität Passau, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
