Juan Paredes has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Juan started their career at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in 2003 as a Management Trainee. Juan then worked at Tourvest Destination Management in 2005 as a Transport & Logistics Assistant Manager for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In the same year, they joined Emirates as a Senior Project Executive MICE, and later became a Senior Sales & Marketing Executive MICE until 2009.

From 2009 to 2015, Juan co-founded and served as a Director at Large Minority Travel Ltd. Following that, they worked as the Director of Event Operations at EPIC STAFFING AGENCY from 2015 to 2017.

In 2017, they joined Qatar Airways as the Transport & Logistics Manager until 2018 when they became the Head of Product Development & Quality Control until 2019. Currently, Juan is employed at Destination Asia, where they have held the roles of Group Product Director from 2019 to 2023 and Group Product & Strategic Projects Director from 2023 (ongoing).

Juan Paredes completed a Business Strategy Certificate program at Cornell University in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Business Sustainability Management Certificate from the University of Cambridge in 2018. Their undergraduate education includes a BA in International Hospitality and Events Management from the Swiss Hotel Management School, which they completed from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, Juan holds additional certifications in Hotel Operational Management and Food and Beverage Management, both obtained from the Swiss Hotel Management School in 2003 and 2002 respectively.
