Thomas currently serves as the Regional Sales Director for Corporate Meetings & Events at Destination Asia, where they focus on creating impactful experiences for corporations. Prior to this role, Thomas worked at MCI Group Asia Pacific as the Director of Client Success. Thomas also held the position of Director at MCI Group, where they helped companies bring people together and create meaningful connections. Thomas has also worked at PROSKE | Group as a Project Manager and at Ovation Global DMC as the Sales Director and Global Director of Sales. Thomas started their career at CCIB as a Sales Executive, where they were responsible for opening and penetrating European markets. Overall, Thomas has a strong background in sales, client success, and project management within the events industry.
Thomas Stecher has a diverse education history. In 2019 to 2020, they completed the Executive Program in Mastering Design Thinking at MIT Sloan Executive Education. Prior to that, in 2004 to 2005, they earned a Master's degree in Hospitality Management from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2000 to 2003, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Tourism Management & Languages from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Lastly, from 1995 to 1999, they pursued studies in Law at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
