Cphr Richard Gagnon

Richard Gagnon, CPHR has a wealth of experience in human resources, spanning various industries and roles. Richard currently holds the position of Executive Director, Human Resources at Destination Canada, where they have been since May 2018. Prior to joining Destination Canada, Gagnon worked as a Senior Human Resources Manager at Raymond James Ltd from February to May 2018. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the VP of Human Resources at Crelogix Acceptance Corporation. Gagnon also had a tenure at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, where they worked in different capacities including Assistant Director, Human Resources at Fairmont Pacific Rim from 2012 to 2013, TAS Trainer at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts from January to July 2012, Human Resources Manager at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver from January 2010 to January 2012, Assistant Director at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac from September 2006 to January 2010, and as an Interim Human Resources Director at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu from January to September 2009. Additionally, Gagnon was a Member of TEC Canada from February 2014 to March 2016, where they supported and developed leaders in Canadian business.

Richard Gagnon, CPHR, holds a Bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations, which they obtained from Université Laval from 2004 to 2006. In 2010, they enrolled in the Canadian Council of Human Resources, where they pursued and successfully obtained the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) qualification. In addition to their degrees, they are also certified as a Lean Greenbelt by Lean Sensei International, a certification they earned in July 2014.
