Peter de Rama has diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Peter is currently the Executive Director of Data & Digital Innovation at Destination Canada since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Pacific Blue Cross, where they held multiple positions, including Senior Manager of the Innovation Centre & Enterprise Architecture from May 2019 to March 2022. Before that, they were the Manager of the Innovation Centre & Enterprise Architecture from May 2016 to May 2019, and a Software Architect from September 2013 to May 2016. Peter also worked at McKesson as a Technical Architect from January 2009 to September 2013, at Rocket Gaming Systems as a Senior Software Developer from November 2007 to January 2009, and at NDCHealth as a Software Architect from February 2000 to November 2007.
Peter de Rama completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Applied Mathematics, Co-op Education from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) from 1995 to 1999. Peter also obtained several certifications throughout their career, including SAFe 5 Certified Practitioner in November 2021 and SAFe 4 Certified Practitioner in February 2018 from Scaled Agile, Inc. Peter obtained a Lean White Belt certification in September 2016. In March 2011, Peter achieved the ITIL V3 Foundation certification from ITIL. Additionally, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from Scrum Alliance in September 2014. Recently, they achieved the SAFe 5 Certified Architect certification in December 2021 from Scaled Agile, Inc.
