Niral Merchant

Niral Merchant is a board member at Destination Imagination and has over 10 years of experience in the field of business intelligence and corporate finance. Merchant started their career as a management intern at MetLife and then went on to work as a marketing analyst at Network Solutions. In 2011, they joined USA TODAY as a senior business intelligence analyst.

At USA TODAY, Merchant was responsible for managing the transformational strategy for various news sections and developing a model which better aligned audience needs with advertiser expectations. Niral also provided valuations and recommendations for potential company acquisitions which would broaden USA Today’s and Gannett’s product portfolio.

In 2014, Merchant left USA TODAY to join CSC Computer Sciences as a corporate finance advisor. In this role, they developed a financial reporting framework that monitored all of CSC’s Global Infrastructure Services revenue streams (worth $4B per annum). Niral also identified future revenue challenges to the current business model and collaborated with global directors on mitigative strategies to ensure achievement of fiscal objectives.

Merchant has been a board member at Destination Imagination since 2016.

Niral Merchant graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in Economics. Niral then attended Gilman School.
