Jason Shine

Jason Shine has a comprehensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jason currently holds the position of Director of Business Development at Destination Pet, LLC, a role they assumed in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at National Veterinary Associates from 2021 to 2022 as a Director of Business Development, where they focused on identifying potential partners and acquiring pet resorts for the company.

Earlier in their career, Jason owned and operated two dog care centers. From 2002 to 2019, they were the Business Owner of Fog City Dogs, where they successfully grew annual gross revenue to over $1 million and sold both facilities for over 5 times market valuation. Jason also owned and operated American Bark Park from 2015 to 2020, where they created and advanced a startup business that provided premium dog care services and sold it for more than 4 times market valuation.

In addition, Jason has experience in technical roles. Jason worked as a Regional System Engineer at Novadigm from 2001 to 2002, where they supported the pre-sales process by assisting sales representatives in pre-qualifying potential customers and delivering software product demonstrations. Jason also worked as a Technical Services Manager at VerticalNet Solutions in 2001, where they managed software documentation and product demonstrations for the company's e-Marketplace Suite.

Jason's early career included roles as a Sales Engineer at InterWorld from 1999 to 2001, where they executed the design and implementation of enterprise packaged software, and as a Consultant at Accenture from 1997 to 1999, where they assisted in software installations and conducted feasibility studies and process improvement initiatives for various clients.

Jason Shine completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati in 1994. Jason then pursued a Masters degree in Health Services Administration from Xavier University from 1994 to 1996. Prior to their university education, they attended Archbishop Alter High School from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Microsoft Certified Professional and as a PeopleSoft Application Developer I and II.
