Karen Soyka

Karen Soyka is currently the Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at Destination Vancouver since November 2020. Prior to this role, she held various leadership positions at Travel Alberta, including Vice President of Strategy & Strategic Partnerships, Vice President of Global Business Development, and Executive Director of North America Marketing. Before her time at Travel Alberta, she worked as a Tourism Consultant at her own company. Karen has also served as the Director of Base Area Operations and Sales/Marketing at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. She received her education at Queen's University in 2013. Throughout her career, Karen has been involved in strategic business development, operational standards creation, media relations, event management, and market research.
