Theresa Gatto

Theresa Gatto, BBA, CMP, DES, currently serves as the Manager of Meeting & Convention Sales for Canada at Destination Vancouver since October 2025. Previously, Theresa held the position of Senior Manager for Business Events at Ottawa Tourism from March 2006 to September 2025, where participation in a not-for-profit organization enhanced strategic marketing efforts for the city. Theresa has also contributed to Meetings Mean Business Canada in various capacities from June 2018 to December 2022, advocating for the business events sector, and was involved with Meeting Professionals International from 2007 to 2015, holding significant leadership roles, including President of the Toronto Chapter. Earlier experience includes a role as Director of Sales and Marketing at Heart of Niagara Hotels. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Brock University, along with certifications as a Certified Meeting Professional and Digital Event Strategist.
