Ole V. Villumsen is an experienced IT professional with a Ph.D. in computer science from Aarhus University. Currently serving as an IT developer at the Royal Danish Library since June 2022, Ole focuses on developing systems for the digital preservation of cultural heritage using technologies such as Java 11 and 17, JavaScript, and Postgres. Previous roles include senior software developer at EG A/S, where Ole contributed to the LUDUS Suite, and senior software developer at CLC bio, specializing in bioinformatics software. Ole has also held positions at Danske Bank, Nets DanID, IBM Danmark A/S, and several other companies, demonstrating expertise in software development, system architecture, and project leadership across various sectors.

Det Kgl. Bibliotek er Danmarks nationale bibliotek, og hører under Kulturministeriet. Vi indsamler, bevarer og formidler dansk kulturarv samt sikrer viden til uddannelse, forskning, oplysning og oplevelse. Vi arbejder aktivt på at blive et grønnere og mere bæredygtigt bibliotek. Det Kgl. Bibliotek er ca. 900 ansatte fordelt på over 30 lokationer på Sjælland og i Jylland.
