Peter Thiesen has extensive experience in digital management and communication, currently serving as the Head of the Digital Department at Det Kgl. Bibliotek | Royal Danish Library since August 2015. Previously, Peter held roles in business development and communication as well as photo editing at POLFOTO from June 2007 to August 2015. Additionally, Peter worked as a freelance reader and consultant at Zentropa from February 2007 to January 2010 and as a reader at Thura Film A/S from June 2005 to January 2007. Peter's early career included a position as a project coordinator at KODA from 2005 to 2006. Academically, Peter earned a Master’s degree in Modern Culture and a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, complemented by studies at Copenhagen Business School and CBS Executive Fonden, as well as training at Mannaz.

Det Kgl. Bibliotek er Danmarks nationale bibliotek, og hører under Kulturministeriet. Vi indsamler, bevarer og formidler dansk kulturarv samt sikrer viden til uddannelse, forskning, oplysning og oplevelse. Vi arbejder aktivt på at blive et grønnere og mere bæredygtigt bibliotek. Det Kgl. Bibliotek er ca. 900 ansatte fordelt på over 30 lokationer på Sjælland og i Jylland.
