James MacFarlane, CPA-CMA

James MacFarlane, CPA-CMA has over 25 years of experience in finance and executive leadership roles. From 1995 to 2004, they held various senior finance roles. From 2004 to 2006, they served as Manager, Finance Western Region for Direct Energy. From 2006 to 2011, they were General Manager and Director for Tesco, where they provided direction to grow and mature the operations. From 2011 to 2013, they were Managing Director for Torishima Services Canada Inc., where they were responsible for full profit and loss responsibility for the business. From 2013 to 2018, they were Vice President, Industrial Services for SGS Canada Inc., a multinational company. Most recently, from 2018 to present, they have been Executive Vice President for Brodie & Moreau, a Canadian based boutique advisory firm, and General Manager for DeTect, Inc.

James MacFarlane, CPA-CMA, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Mount Royal University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993. James also holds an Advanced Accounting degree from the same university, which they obtained from 1993 to 1994.
