Candela Sancho has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2018, they co-founded and became the CEO of Detektia Earth Surface Monitoring S.L. Their role there involved creating advanced solutions for ground and infrastructure deformation characterization through data processing and analysis. Candela also led the development of a web platform integrating RADAR satellite technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Management Platforms. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2018, Candela worked as a researcher in Theoretical Geophysics at Universiteit Utrecht. Candela also served as a System Delivery Manager at INSA for a brief period in 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Geoscientist at Barcelona Center for Subsurface Imaging (BCSI) CMIMA-CSIC in 2011, and as a Downhole Logging Engineer at Instituto de Ciencias de la Tierra "Jaume Almera" (ICTJA-CSIC) from 2010 to 2011. In their role at ICTJA-CSIC, their responsibilities included planning fieldwork, acquiring, processing, interpreting, and managing downhole logging and seismic data for various projects.

Candela Sancho's education history begins in 2002 when they enrolled at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Candela pursued a degree in Physics with a focus on Geophysics and Seismology. Candela completed their undergraduate studies in 2008.

In 2006, Candela participated in the TASSEP TransAtlantic Science Students Exchange Program at McMaster University. This program allowed their to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of Physics.

Following their undergraduate studies, Candela continued their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Geophysics at the Universitat de Barcelona from 2009 to 2010.

In 2010, Candela went on to further specialize in the field of Renewable Energies by pursuing a Master's degree at Universidad CEU San Pablo, which they completed in 2011.

Overall, Candela's education journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Physics with a focus on Geophysics and Seismology, supplemented by a Master's degree in Geophysics and another Master's degree in Renewable Energies.
