Christian Lerrahn

Christian Lerrahn has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Christian is currently working at Detexian as the VP of Engineering, a position they have held since July 2020. In addition, they are also a Technical Advisor at Dekon Technology & Consulting since the same starting month and year.

Prior to their current roles, Christian was self-employed from 2003 onwards, where they served as a Server Administrator and Software Developer. Christian'sresponsibilities included mission-critical and high-performance hosting for web and mail, as well as deployment and maintenance of various servers and security systems.

Christian has also worked at Digital Agriculture Services (DAS) as the Head of Engineering from February 2021 to November 2021. During their tenure, they oversaw the scaling and global expansion of the product. Before becoming the Head of Engineering, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at DAS from February 2020 to February 2021, contributing to the transition and improvement of the storage backend and introducing new services.

Prior to their time at DAS, Christian was the Lead Developer at Cydarm Technologies from March 2019 to January 2020. Christian also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Planet Innovation from November 2015 to March 2019.

Christian held the role of Lead Developer and Chief Architect at Nothing But Web from April 2013 to November 2015. Before that, they worked as a Senior Web Developer and Systems Administrator at Cerebrum (Aust) Pty Ltd from May 2006 to January 2013.

Earlier in their career, Christian worked as a Research Assistant (Astronomy) at Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen from May 2005 to November 2005. Christian began their professional journey as a Systems Administrator at SySS GmbH from January 2001 to November 2005.

Christian Lerrahn has a strong educational background in the field of atmospheric sciences and meteorology. Christian completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at Monash University from 2006 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Diplom-Physiker degree (equivalent to an MSc) in astrophysics from the University of Tübingen, between 1999 and 2005. In terms of their early education, Christian attended Melanchthon-Gymnasium Bretten from 1989 to 1998, where they obtained their high school degree. Additionally, in July 2011, they obtained a certification as a TYPO3 Integrator from the TYPO3 Association.
