Umit Yelken

Umit Yelken has a diverse work experience. In 2013, they began their career as a Team Leader, Avionics Team Leader, and Mechanical Systems Specialist at Istanbul Technical University. Umit then took on an Internship at Hyundai Assan in 2015 and Bosch in 2014. In 2016, they became a Mechanical Engineer at Robostate Hava Araçları A.Ş. In 2017, they returned to Istanbul Technical University as a Team Leader, with the role description of web:http://roket.itu.edu. In 2019, they became a Researcher in the Turbomachinery and Propulsion Department at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics. In 2020, they were the CEO & Director at Detonation Space Inc. and a Teaching Assistant at Koç University. Currently, they are a Co-Founder at Sortie Cargo.

Umit Yelken has completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University between 2011 and 2016. Umit then obtained a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University between 2017 and 2019. Umit Yelken is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering from Koç University, which they expect to complete by 2023. Additionally, they are also pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management, General from İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi, which they expect to complete by 2022.
