Kristi Tanner

Kristi Tanner is a seasoned data reporter at the Detroit Free Press since March 2008. In addition to this role, Kristi has been a part-time faculty member at Wayne State University since May 2013, teaching graduate-level research methods courses, including Political Science 5630 and Urban Planning 6320. Previous experience includes serving as a research manager at J.D. Power and Associates from May 2006 to March 2008, director of survey research at the Center for Urban Studies at Wayne State University in 2005-2006, and visiting assistant professor at the University of Missouri - St. Louis from 2003 to 2005. Kristi's professional career began with research work for the City of St. Louis Planning and Urban Design Agency from 2000 to 2003. Kristi holds a PhD in Political Science with a focus on Public Policy Administration from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Webster University.
