Tanya Galunas

Tanya Galunas is an experienced web editor currently working at the Detroit Free Press since September 2012, where responsibilities include managing and optimizing content on Freep.com and associated social media platforms. Prior roles include web producer and community engagement editor at Heritage Media, where Tanya led web production, analyzed online statistics, and managed social media for multiple publications. Earlier experience includes serving as a copy editor and special sections coordinator for the Manchester Enterprise and Ypsilanti Courier, an assistant manager at Hobby Lobby, and a sports writer for the Daily Telegram. Tanya began academic pursuits at Adrian College, earning a BA in English/Journalism in 2008, and held the position of executive editor for the college's student newspaper.
