Matt Greenough has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Matt began their career as the Corporate Accounting Manager at Little Caesars Pizza from 1989 to 1990. Matt then served as a Regional Financial Analyst from 1991 to 1994, followed by a role as a Senior Financial Analyst from 1995 to 1997, where they led a team to provide financial support to franchisees. From 1998 to 1999, Matt worked as a Senior Credit Manager, leading a task force to address impaired internal AR balances and external bank debt.
Matt joined Little Caesars Pizza again in 2000, this time as the Director of Cash Management/Treasury. Matt was responsible for overseeing all cash management and treasury functions for the company and implemented various projects such as bank account consolidation, AR automation, and payment automation. Matt held this position until 2011.
In 2012, Matt moved to the Archdiocese of Detroit, where they worked as a Financial Coordinator for Parish Support Services. Matt provided support to parishes and schools on financial and administrative matters, including accounting system installation and annual budget development. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Director of Finance for Archdiocesan Cemeteries, providing accounting, financial, and treasury support services to the staff of the cemeteries.
Most recently, Matt held the position of Director of Finance at the Detroit Historical Society. Matt started as the Finance Manager in 2019, then became the Director of Finance in 2021, and is currently the Chief Financial Officer as of 2023.
Matt Greenough attended the University of Michigan, where they did not complete a degree. Matt then pursued their education at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, specializing in Accounting and Finance. In 2002, they obtained the Certified Treasury Professional certification from the Association for Financial Professionals.
