Diop Shumake

Diop Shumake is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in marketing, project management, and community impact. Currently serving as a Board Member and Marketing Chair for the Founders Junior Council at the Detroit Institute of Arts since July 2023, Diop actively promotes young adult engagement with the museum. As Principal and Founder of KAIROS RESEARCH since January 2020, Diop leads a team focused on enhancing community impact through research and design. Previous roles include Marketing Director at Jay Taylor & Associates, Marketing Education at Goodwill of Greater Detroit, and Marketing Project Manager at Dunamis Clean Energy Partners, along with experience as Project Management Coordinator at EBONY Media. Diop holds dual degrees in International Studies and International Business from Morehouse College, a Business certification from Harvard Business School Online, and is currently enrolled in the Apple Developer Academy at Michigan State University.
