Joye Opoku Ofei

Art Instructor at Detroit Institute of Arts

Joye Opoku Ofei has a diverse work experience in the field of art and education. Joye started their career as an Artist at Boldform Architects in 1988. Joye then worked at OPOKU INVESTMENTS as an Artist and Instructor of Ghanaian Languages from 2005 onwards. In 2007, Joye joined the College for Creative Studies as the Lead Art Instructor for Community Arts Projects, where they developed partnerships to inspire youth to engage in the visual arts. At the same time, they also worked as an Art Instructor at the Detroit Institute of Arts. In 2013, Joye became an Adjunct Lecturer at Wayne County Community College District.

Joye Opoku Ofei's education history includes attending the College of Art and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. No specific degree or field of study has been provided for either institution.
