Maggy Carlyle

Margaret Carlyle currently serves as Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs & General Counsel for the Detroit Lions, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Margaret was General Counsel & Senior Vice President at the Pac-12 Conference from January 2016 to January 2023, overseeing legal and business affairs, integrity, and governance. Previous experience includes positions as Counsel & Corporate Secretary for the San Jose Sharks, Football Administration for the San Francisco 49ers, and Law Clerk for the NFL Management Council, among others. Margaret began a career in education as a Special Education Teacher with Teach for America. Educationally, Margaret holds a JD from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Visiting JD from Cardozo School of Law, and a Bachelor of Journalism. Currently, Margaret is engaged in Executive Education at Harvard Business School since June 2022.
