Pat Garrity

Pat Garrity has a diverse background in sports management and finance, currently serving as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Strategic Planning for the Detroit Pistons since August 2014. Previous experience includes roles as a Client Advisor and Associate Client Adviser at Bridgewater Associates from August 2011 to June 2014, and Secretary/Treasurer for the National Basketball Players Association from July 2001 to June 2008. Pat Garrity also enjoyed a successful career as a professional athlete with the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns from 1989 to 2008. Academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration in Investment Finance from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
