Amanda Scott, MPH, CHES has had a diverse range of work experiences. Amanda began their career as a Resident Advisor at Dawn Farm, where they served as a reimbursed volunteer from November 2009 to November 2010. Amanda then worked as a Server and Trainer at Cafe Zola from August 2008 to June 2011. Amanda gained research experience as a Volunteer Research Assistant at Eastern Michigan University from September 2011 to May 2012, at the University of Michigan from May 2012 to August 2012, and at Wayne State University School of Medicine from September 2012 to May 2013.

In 2013, Amanda served as a Millieu Tech at Brighton Center for Recovery from July 2013 to November 2013. Amanda then transitioned to working as a Project Coordinator Practicum at Detroit Recovery Project from September 2016 to February 2017. Amanda returned to Detroit Recovery Project in 2018, taking on roles such as Clinical Support Director from April 2018 to November 2018, Project Coordinator for HEART (CSAT) and STOP (CSAP) Grants from November 2018 to May 2020, Project Director from May 2020 to October 2020, and currently holds the position of Prevention Services Director since October 2020.

Between their various roles, Amanda also worked as a Server Trainer at Sava's State Street Cafe from an unknown start date to June 2019.

Amanda Scott, MPH, CHES, has a strong education background in the field of public health. Amanda obtained their Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where they studied from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology at Eastern Michigan University from 2010 to 2013. Amanda's academic journey began at Washtenaw Community College, where they earned their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, studying from 2004 to 2010.
