Manager Of Learning, Student And Program Development at Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Christopher DeLouis, DMA, currently serves as the Manager of Learning, Student and Program Development and Training Ensembles Operations Coordinator at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, overseeing logistical planning for various youth and adult ensembles. Christopher has also performed as a saxophonist with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra since September 2018 and maintains a freelance music career, offering saxophone and woodwinds instruction since 2012. Past educational roles include music teacher at Weaver High School, where culturally relevant lesson plans were developed, and associate teacher at the West Virginia University Community Music Program. Christopher holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Saxophone Performance from West Virginia University, a Master’s degree from Bowling Green State University, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island, all complemented by significant hands-on experience in music education, performance, and event production.
