Substitute Musician at Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Keith Claeys has over four decades of experience in percussion, currently serving as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University since 1995, where responsibilities include private lessons, percussion ensemble direction, and teaching percussion pedagogy and methods classes. In parallel, Keith Claeys contributes as a Substitute Musician for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra since 1995 and has maintained a robust freelance percussion career in the Detroit area since 1977, showcasing expertise in orchestral percussion, musical theater, pop and rock percussion, and hand drumming. Prior to their tenure at Wayne State University, Keith Claeys instructed at Oakland University from 1990 to 1995.
