Kurt Henry

Kurt Henry II is an experienced lighting professional currently serving as the Lighting Director for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra since July 2022. With a robust background in theatrical and architectural lighting design, Kurt has held various roles, including Freelance positions with IATSE Local 38 and KII Services, Technical Director at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts, and Sr. Designer at Illuminating Concepts. Previously, Kurt managed significant projects as the Owner and Project Manager at KII Services and served as Project Manager/Field Specialist at Martin Professional A/S. Over the years, Kurt has successfully overseen lighting and A/V system design, project management, client interaction, and system maintenance, demonstrating a strong proficiency in bringing projects from concept to completion.
