Leslie Groves

Major Gift Officer at Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Leslie Groves is currently a Major Gift Officer at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Prior to that, they were a Clerk at Schoolcraft College from October 2016 to November 2017. Leslie also served as the Director of Individual Giving and Donor Relations for the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan from April 2015 to May 2016. In addition, Leslie was the Director, Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes for the American Diabetes Association from February 2014 to September 2014. Leslie has also worked as a Mortgage Loan Originator for VanDyk Mortgage from September 2013 to December 2014, and as a Resource Relations Manager for Community Housing Network Inc. from February 2011 to April 2013.

Groves attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education. Leslie then went on to get their Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan with a focus in nonprofit leadership. Groves is also an alumni of Leadership Oakland's Cornerstone Program, class of 2012.

They are on a team with Beth Carlson - Stewardship Coordinator, Jane Koelsch - Fulfillment Coordinator, and Susan Queen - Gift Officer, Corporate Giving. Leslie Groves reports to Jill Rafferty, Senior Director of Advancement.
