Matthew Carlson

Matthew Carlson is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Communications for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra since October 2016. Prior roles include Associate Director of Public Relations at Carnegie Hall from September 2007 to September 2016, Senior Public Relations Manager at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts between 2005 and 2007, and Public Affairs Associate at Carnegie Hall from 1996 to 2005. Matthew Carlson holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan, completing the degree in 1995, and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1991.
