Jasmin began their career in 2000 as a Quality Engineer/Government Regulations/Quality Project Coordinator for Detroit Chassis LLC. In 2012, they took on a Quality Engineer-Contract Professional role at Chrysler, where they were responsible for coordinating and scheduling meetings, analyzing external competition data, developing program specific quality targets, managing test vehicle fleets, conducting risk assessments, and preparing program review and executive management presentations. In 2014, they took on the roles of Lead Program Manager and Sr. Quality Engineer at Detroit Thermal Systems, LLC. In 2015, they became the Owner of Sophisticated Sole, LLC. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Health & Wellness Franchise Owner at Total Life Changes LLC. IBO.
Jasmin Smith-Young holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix, which they obtained in 2008 after studying Masters of Business Administration. Jasmin also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix, which they obtained in 2007. In addition, Jasmin Smith-Young has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including a Six Sigma Green Belt from the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center in 2006, an ISO/TS16949 Auditor from the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center in 2004, a Machinist from Focus:HOPE in 1997, and a PMP from the Project Management Institute in 2018.
