Ryan Vance, CPRP, currently serves as the Nature Center Supervisor at the Detroit Zoological Society, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Ryan was a Program Specialist at the Chicago Park District for eight years, where responsibilities included leading public programming at a nature center and developing community partnerships. Additionally, Ryan has experience as an Instructor, focusing on wellness and environmental programming for diverse age groups, and as a Program and Event Coordinator for the Nature Oasis, facilitating outdoor education for a large number of children in Chicago. Earlier career roles include serving as a server at francescas and a Lead Teacher at the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Urban Planning from Wayne State University and an Associate of Arts from Oakland Community College.
