Donald Catchings has extensive work experience in various roles related to health, safety, environmental, and maintenance management. Donald started their career in 1988 as a Shop Foreman at Union Pacific Motor Freight, where they were responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and supervising a team of technicians. Donald worked there until 1997. From 1997 to 2013, they held the role of Regional Manager Mechanical Intermodal South at Union Pacific Railroad. In this role, they managed an OE budget, safety compliance auditing, and over-the-road maintenance. In 2013, Donald joined SAIA LTL Freight as the Houston Regional Maintenance Manager. Donald then moved to deugro in 2014, where they served as the Regional QHSES Manager until 2016 and later became the Global Head of HSE starting in January 2017.
Donald Catchings attended McArthur High School from 1977 to 1980. Donald then enrolled at the University of Phoenix from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Management with a focus on Business Administration and Management. In 2013, they briefly attended The University of Texas at Arlington, where they studied OSHA 511- Standards for General Industry.
