Farhad Safaei

Farhad Safaei is an experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as a Product Manager and Lead of AI & Simulation at Deutsche Bahn since May 2019. In this role, Farhad oversees a team focused on AI applications for Digital Rail for Germany, having progressively advanced from positions as AI Product Owner and Senior Expert in Reinforcement Learning. Concurrently, since April 2022, Farhad has been pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Freiburg, specializing in Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning. Previous experience includes data science and machine learning consultancy roles at Alexander Thamm GmbH, and a focus on autonomous driving at Altran. Farhad's academic foundation includes an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Shiraz University of Technology, complemented by a strong research background with multiple publications in the area of control systems and simulations.
