Jens Schmitt

Jens Schmitt is an experienced professional in IT process management, currently serving as the Head of IT Process Management & Tools at DB Fernverkehr AG since January 2020, overseeing a team of over 15 specialists to improve IT processes and tools for Deutsche Bahn's long-distance operations. Previously, Jens held the position of Manager in Technology Strategy & Architecture at Deloitte, leading Agile Consulting and managing personnel while delivering training and workshops on IT governance and strategy. Jens also gained academic experience as a Graduate Assistant at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, complemented by internships and early roles at Deloitte and CAS Software AG. Jens holds a Master of Science in Business Information Systems from the University of Göttingen and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, along with educational experience at Edinburgh Napier University.
