Markus Zinser

Markus Zinser is an experienced project lead in software development and data science at Deutsche Bahn since June 2017, where responsibilities include the development of automated data-driven tools, leading teams, and implementing Agile project management methodologies. Prior to this role, Markus worked as a data scientist, focusing on railway traffic simulations, operational data analysis, and producing scientific publications. Markus has a strong academic background, having completed a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where roles included postdoctoral researcher and teaching assistant. Additionally, Markus gained practical experience during a research internship at CERN, contributing to the ATLAS experiment.
