Clay Stevenson

Clay Stevenson is a seasoned professional in economic sanctions and compliance, currently serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Sanctions & Embargoes at Deutsche Bank since October 2019. Previously, Stevenson held roles such as Managing Director for Sanctions Compliance at Bank of America and Vice President of Sanctions Compliance at Merrill Lynch, demonstrating extensive leadership in global sanctions programs. As the founder and president of CHS Sanctions Advisory, LLC, and the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists, Stevenson showcases a commitment to advancing best practices in sanctions compliance. Stevenson's career began at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where roles included Senior Sanctions Investigator and Supervisory Sanctions Investigator, contributing significantly to counter-proliferation efforts. Clay Stevenson earned an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
