Michael Girg

Michael Girg is a seasoned professional with extensive experience at Deutsche Börse since 2000. Currently serving as Chief Cloud Officer, Michael focuses on ensuring readiness for public cloud services in the financial services industry while driving cloud adoption across the organization. Previously, as Head of Department for Infrastructure Support, Michael managed a budget exceeding €100 million, overseeing significant infrastructure modernization initiatives and data center operations. In earlier roles, including Head of Section Networks Support and Head of Unit Carrier Management, Michael was instrumental in optimizing network operations and expanding global telecommunications. Michael started his career as an IT Consultant at CSC PLOENZKE AG, leading projects for Deutsche Börse AG and other clients. Michael holds a degree in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen from Technische Hochschule Darmstadt.
