Annabelle Steffes-Halmer has a diverse work experience in the field of journalism and media. Annabelle started their career as a Freelance Journalist with Reuters News Agency from 2011 to 2012. Annabelle then worked as a Freelance Journalist for ARTE from 2010 to 2015. From 2012 to 2013, they were an Autorin & Redakteurin at Fernsehbüro GmbH. Annabelle also worked as a Project Manager at mindjazz pictures from 2013 to 2014. Annabelle joined Deutsche Welle in 2012, initially working as a Freelance Journalist until 2021. Annabelle served as a Project Manager Distribution Europe from 2014 to 2015 and as a Project Associate in the Middle East/North Africa Division in 2015. Annabelle became a Senior Editor at Deutsche Welle from 2021 to 2022, and currently holds the position of Head of Unit Culture Online. Lastly, starting in 2004 and ending in 2006, they studied at The University of Bonn, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Deutsch-Französische Studien.
