Hao-Wei Chiu

Hao-Wei Chiu has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

In 2017, they worked as a Project Assistant at Kompetenzzentrum Naturschutz und Energiewende, where they contributed to integrating resources and plans for a UNESCO project and wrote an article on wind power energy in China for the company's annual book.

From 2016 to 2017, they served as a Communication Manager at Sozial-ökologische Forschungsgruppe GETIDOS, where they managed internal and external communications, including the management of the organization's website and content development. Hao-Wei also coordinated the application of "Sino-Germany Conferences" in China and presented on the topic of urban river restoration and design.

In 2018, Hao-Wei joined Seaway Offshore Cables as a Sales Engineer, involved in submarine cable and subsea umbilical installation, repair, and maintenance for offshore oil and gas as well as renewable energy industries. Hao-Wei then transitioned to the role of Project Engineer, responsible for writing construction plans for offshore cable installations, managing permits, and coordinating between offices in Taiwan and Germany.

Currently, Hao-Wei is the Sales & Business Development Manager at Deutsche Windtechnik, where they lead the sales team and oversees business development activities. Hao-Wei will soon be promoted to the position of Head of Sales, reflecting their success and growth within the company.

Hao-Wei Chiu completed their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering at National Chung Hsing University from 2008 to 2012. Hao-Wei then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Landscape Ecology & Nature Conservation at Universität Greifswald from 2013 to 2016.
