Rodrigo Costa Araújo is a researcher at Deutsches Primatenzentrum GmbH since March 2022, focusing on the origin and diversification of Neotropical primates. Previously, Rodrigo served as a postdoctoral researcher as a CAPES-Humboldt fellow and has led the Amazon Marmosets Project since June 2017. Notable prior roles include associate researcher at MCT / Museu Paraense Emilio Goeldi from November 2020 to February 2022 and wildlife biologist positions at BIOCEV PROJETOS INTELIGENTES and Instituto Pri-Matas, where responsibilities included primate surveys, population estimates, and conservation strategies. Rodrigo holds a PhD in Biological Sciences with a focus on Ecology from Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazonia, as well as a Master’s in Ecology from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina and a Bachelor’s degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
