Jim Wright

Chief Executive Officer at Development Authority of the North Country

Jim Wright started their career in 1980 as a County Administrator for the County of Oswego. Jim then worked as a County Administrator for Jefferson County Government from 1987 to 1992. In 1993, they became a State Senator for the 46th and 48th District in New York State Senate. Later, in 2008, they became the Managing Director at Fleishman-Hillard Government Relations. Since 2009, they have been serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the Development Authority of the North Country, where they oversee infrastructure projects and provides services related to housing, economic development, and engineering.

Jim Wright attended the State University of New York at Oswego from 1967 to 1971, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Sciences. Jim then attended Syracuse University - Maxwell School from 1972 to 1974, studying Public Administration. In 1986, Jim Wright attended the Harvard Kennedy School for Senior Executive Management. Additionally, in 1989, they enrolled in the United States Army War College to study National Security Policy Studies.
