Burton Herbstman

Burt is a cardiovascular and metabolic disease specialist. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Burt was class president all four years, and, in 1972, was also president of the Delta chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Burt serves as general chairman of the Israel Bonds Midwest Medical Division and, in that capacity, has co-chaired numerous Bonds medical delegations to Israel. He is a member of the Illinois board of AIPAC, and a past member of its National Executive Committee. Additionally, Burt served on the Steering Committee to Protect Our Heritage, and the Jewish Community Relations Committee of the Jewish United Fund.
