Kenny founded Gold Metal Recyclers in 1976, which became the largest private secondary metal recycling company in the Southwest U.S. The company reached $1 billion in revenue before merging with the UK’s European Metals Recycling Company in 2011. Kenny’s civic leadership includes serving as president of the Jewish Community Center; chairing the first $10 million Israel Bonds Dallas campaign in 1991; and serving with several non-profit organizations, including Aaron Family Jewish Community Center, AIPAC, ADL, Creative Arts Center, Dallas Holocaust Museum, and the North Texas Business Council for the Arts. Kenny has been the recipient of numerous civic and Jewish community awards, and was a finalist for Ernst and Young’s ‘North Texas Entrepreneur of the Year.'
