George Kogolla

George Kogolla currently serves as the Country Representative for IREX in Kenya and East Africa, where contributions focus on empowering youth and strengthening communities while being an integral part of IREX's global Senior Management Team. George has extensive experience in strategic business development, successfully leading initiatives to expand collaborative partnerships with non-US government donors. In addition to this role, George holds a position on the Board of Directors at Development Gateway, providing strategic guidance for data utilization in planning and policy. Previous leadership roles include Partner at The Philanthropy Advisory, Director of Programmes and Partnerships at the British Council, Executive Director at Carolina for Kibera, and Co-Founder and Executive Director of Youth Alive! Kenya. George holds a Master of Public Administration in International Development from the University of York and a Bachelor of Science in Botany & Chemistry from the University of Nairobi.
