Sanjay is an engineer at Development Seed. He builds sustainable infrastructures and thinks through how they work with open geospatial data to support their partners. Sanjay creates tools that improve OpenStreetMap workflows and incorporates them into their OSM and transportation work. Sanjay is passionate about building out the OpenStreetMap ecosystem to ensure the map is up-to-date.
Prior to joining Development Seed, Sanjay helped build data and mapping tools to facilitate working with OpenStreetMap data at Mapbox. He co-founded CAMP, an art space in Mumbai, and was a co-initiator of the pad.ma video archive project. More recently, he worked on projects with the New York Public Library and led a team building an open data platform for public schooling.
He works out of Mumbai, India where he is constantly looking for new people to play board games with.
