Amit Rao has extensive experience in the field of IoT security and technology. Amit currently works as the Vice President of Strategy, Sales, and Business Development for Device Authority, a global leader in IoT security solutions. In this role, they lead strategy, sales, and business development activities for key accounts in the APJ geography, focusing on industrial, automotive, medical, and other high-reliability verticals. Amit also fosters partnerships with leading cloud service providers, IoT platform vendors, global system integrators, consulting firms, and semiconductor companies.

Additionally, Amit serves as a Board Member for the IoT Security Foundation's Bangalore Chapter. Amit plays a vital role in promoting good security practices, increasing knowledge among adopters, and boosting user confidence to drive the growth of the IoT ecosystem in the region.

Amit's previous experience includes working as an expert in the Internet of Things for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), where they contributed to the development of international standards on IoT security and privacy. Amit was also employed as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Trusted Objects, where they spearheaded the company's expansion in the Asia Pacific region and formulated penetration strategies for various security solutions and services. Amit Rao began their education at Our Lady of Fatima Convent High School in 1979 and completed their higher secondary education there in 1995. Amit then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from GNDEC, Gulbarga University from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they enrolled in the E-Commerce & Cyber Laws Professional Diploma program at AIMA (All India Management Association) from 2005 to 2006. Amit also attended the International Business Program at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2006 and 2007, specializing in Strategy.

In addition to their formal education, Amit Rao obtained certifications in The Art of Evangelism from Udemy in July 2017 and completed the Leadership Program - ILP from Landmark, though the dates of completion are unspecified.
